It’s time for a change! Time to manage our family finances and our family time better. Seem’s like were always running here and there and never any time to just sit down and talk to each other. Even though we spend very little on food and HBA items seem’s like more of the budget is going towards the kids social life and gas to get them around. Oh well….one day they won’t be here and they will be grown up and I’ll be complaining i’m bored and have so much extra money I don’t know what to do with it! ha ha ha
I’ve been trying to save us money for years! I only buy clothes off season or on clearance with coupons. My favorite store for savings has to be JCPenney. JCP allows you to use most of their coupons against clearance items. A few weeks ago I got my son a great pair of Nike sandles for less than $10 and not little boys either, men’s size 12! I thought it was a bargain I couldn’t pass up as his sandles from last year already had his toes over the front of the shoe, not attractive and very uncomfortable for him.
I’ve used coupons and shopped the sales for years. My mom was so thrifty when I was growing up and taught me the value of using coupons in conjunction with store sales. Now it’s trendy to coupon which I think is great, I just hope that people keep it up. It’s a great way to learn to budget and plan ahead.
With this blog I’m going to document where our money is going and how I can better manage it. With more money left at the end of the month, we can use it to do more fun stuff together. Florida in February anyone?
